Overview:
Studies have shown that Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid, is
effective in killing cancer cells and is well-established as a topical
treatment for some types of cancer, such as bladder cancer. Also, it has been
shown to k ill various other types of cancer cells. Additional research has
suggested that GLA-containing essential fatty acids taken from evening
primrose, blackcurrant and borage seed oils are effective in treating
rheumatoid arthritis. A deficiency of GLA may cause eczema. A supplement may be
required for those whose fat and oil intake is significantly restricted. Some
chemicals that are found in this supplement include: fatty acids found in:
evening primrose (a plant), fish, human mother’s milk, and spirulina
